Thai Airways has cancelled multiple services as Bangkok continues recovering from widespread flooding.

Travelers flying through Bangkok are facing disruption after severe flooding affected Thailand's capital and surrounding areas.

According to Travel Monitor, Thai Airways cancelled 14 flights across September 29 and September 30, including services connecting Bangkok with destinations such as New Delhi, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Frankfurt, Munich and Brussels.

The airline has also been operating a reduced schedule from Bangkok, creating additional pressure at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Thousands of bags were reported to be awaiting processing at the airport, although the airline expects the backlog to be cleared.

Weather conditions in Bangkok have started improving, but some communities remain affected by flooding and drainage operations continue.

The United Kingdom's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office also updated its Thailand travel advice following severe flooding in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan. All 50 districts of Bangkok were declared disaster affected areas.

Travelers heading to Thailand should confirm flights directly with their airlines and allow additional time when travelling to and from airports.

Visitors should also check local weather information before making long road journeys or travelling into low lying areas.
