A new collection of glasses for the holiday season is attracting the attention of American consumers not only to their appearance but also to the extremely low price.
The Dolar Tree chain has introduced four models of decorative glasses, each at just $1.50.
According to Allrecipes, products resemble familiar glasses of the brand Anthropologists, which sell at much higher prices.
The difference is so large that consumers can buy all four models of the Dolar Tree for just $6, much less than the price of a single prize branding.
The collection includes four festive designs: Christmas trees, candy cookies, snow people, and red ribbons.
Gooses are made of glass and come with the lid of plastic straw. Meanwhile, some of the Anthropologic models use bamboo covers and metal pipes.
According to the magazine Women's World, similar drinks of Anthropologists cost about $16, while Allrecipes calculates the savings of up to 93.75% for comparable models.
The news comes at a time when American consumers are preparing for the holiday shopping season, and retail vendors are competing to attract customers with decorative products at affordable prices.
Dollar Tree is not the only chain following this strategy. Costco, Aldi, and other stores have also presented seasonal products that recall the design of the most expensive brands.
The phenomenon of luxurylike products but at much lower prices is becoming an increasingly visible part of competition in American trade.
For consumers, the message is simple: elegant appearance does not necessarily require large expenses.
