At the price of $29, Apple's new device aims to bring together the entertainment, communication, and control of the intelligent house on a single screen.

Apple has introduced HomeView, a new intelligent device for the house, extending her presence beyond telephones, computers and smart hours.

According to the announcement published on the official Apple site on October 13th, HomeView was designed to offer users a new way to enjoy fun content and manage related household equipment.

Bloomberg reports that the device is presented at a price of $29 and is part of a wider company strategy to compete in the market of intelligent homes.

HomeView aims to serve as a common family center, where users can interact with digital services and control various house functions.

The device represents an important step for Apple in a market where Amazon and Google have long built smart-screen ecosystems and sound speakers.

For users, the main advantage of such a device is the opportunity to manage daily functions from a single country without the need to use the phone constantly.

HomeView comes on screen with the 7-inch Liquid Retina and is offered in two versions: one that is placed on the table and another that is mounted on the wall.

One of the most interesting features is facial recognition. According to Apple, the device can identify up to six users and display personal information for each, including the calendar, messages, and reminders.

HomeView also includes improved assistant Siri AI, phone calls through FaceTime, music and opportunities to control the house's cameras and intelligent devices.

According to Apple, preliminary orders started on 13 October, as sales begin on 13 November in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and several other markets.

However, there is an important restriction for European consumers. Apple has confirmed that HomeView will not initially be sold into the European Union, as new posts Syria AI are not yet available there.

Reuters writes that HomeView's presentation marks a new Apple effort to challenge Amazon and Google in the market of intelligent homes, where competition is expected to intensify over the years to come.
