Luke Littleer is dominate the arrow world, but the 19-year-old may face an unusual situation: not qualified to the Champions Chamcorp Finals, the tournament he won just a year ago.
Sky Sports reports that Littleer still has mathematical opportunities to secure a seat on the Minehead tournament, held from 27 November to 29 November. However, the path to qualifications is extremely difficult.
Currently, Littler ranks 126th in ProTour Order of Mary with 10,500 pounds earned. Only 64 players qualify for Champions Champions Finals.
According to Sky Sports, Mike Decker currently holds the 64th position with 29,250 pounds, while the final limit of the qualifications is expected to exceed 30,000 pounds after completion of all 34 shifts.
This means that Littler must make a spectacular return to the two remaining events.
Players Championship 33 and 34 are held in Leicester on November 4th and 5th. Sky Sports estimates the world champion will probably have to reach at least one of them's finals, and potentially have great results in both, to get to Top 64.
But there is another question: Will Littleer play at all?
Former player Matt Edgar said on the Sky Sports Loves Show he doubts that Littler will participate in the last two events of ProTour. This would eventually close the door for the title protection in Minehead.
The situation is even more unusual considering his season.
Sky Sports reports that Littleer won the first six major events in 2026, including the World Championships, World Masters, UK Open, Premier League, World Cup of Darts and World Matchplay.
However, his series stopped losing 10-4 to Johnny Clayton in the quarterfinals of the World Series of Darts Finals. Then came the surprising elimination in World Grand Prix's first round of Luke Woodhouse.
Litler also lost 6-5 to Cam Crabtree in the World semifinal Your Championship on Monday.
Despite these results, it remains the world's number 1 and still has major goals this season. Grand Slam of Darts takes place from November 14th to November 22nd, while in December, Littleer will target another world title at Alexander Palace.
But prior to that, there remains a dilemma: will the world champion attempt a dramatic qualification to defend the title of the Players Champion Finals, or will he leave Minehead out of his calendar?
