Baltimore Ravens has transferred Cam Jurgens from Philadelphia Eagles to an agreement that significantly changes the offensive line of both teams.
Reuters reports that Ravens take Jurgens and a seventh round election at Drift 2027. In exchange, Eagles receives a fifth round election in 2027 and, most importantly, a second round election at Drift 2028.
NFL.com confirms that the deal has been formalised by both clubs. The official league media emphasises that the 27-year-old leaves Philadelphia after recording 62 presentations, 45 of them as title, and was twice selected in Pro Bowl.
Jurgens was chosen by Eagles in the second round of the 2022 Raft and later received one of the most difficult tasks in Philadelphia: replacing legend Jason Kelce in the centre's position.
Baltimore's official site Ravens writes that Jurgens soon became one of the most appreciated players in his position. Prior to the 2025th season, Eagles gave him a new four - year contract worth 68 million dollars, which he contracted until 2029.
But the current season brought about changes. After the damage to Landon Dickerson, Philadelphia moved Jurgens from the center to the left Guard.
NBC Sports reported in September that Eagles decided to pass Jurgens into this position and trust Drew Kendall centre. The experiment did not bring expected stability to the offensive line.
Baltimore, meanwhile, had an urgent need right in the center.
CBS Sports reports that Ravens were lost due to injuries of three options in this position, Danny Pinter, Giovanni Gwyn and Ethan Pocic. The club had even been forced to move the rookie Vega Ioan from Guard to center.
According to Reuters, Jurgens currently stands in the NFL protocol for brain shock, but is expected to be available for Baltimore debut next week against Cleveland Browns.
The transfer comes in a troubled moment for Eagles. NFL.com reports that veteran Lane Johnson announced Wednesday the withdrawal from the NFL after 14 seasons, while Philadelphia now loses even Jurgens from a department that has undergone several changes.
For Ravens, meanwhile, the deal brings a two-time Pro Bowler, only 27 years old and under contract until 2029, to one of the positions where the team was most in need.
