The two actors appeared together at the London Film Festival, where they presented their new cinematographic project, “Artificial”.

Actor Andrew Garfield and actress Monica Barbaro drew attention during a joint presentation at the 70th London Film Festival on 11 October 2026. The duo participated in a screening of the new film “Artificial”, where both have important roles.

The film is a biographical drama dealing with events related to the OpenAI company in November 2023, when executive director Sam Altman temporarily left his post before returning a few days later.

In the movie, Garfield performs Sam Altman, while Barbaro plays Mira Mqira, who served temporarily as executive director during that period. Ike Barinholtz, who performs Elon Musk, is also in the movie's tape. The film was directed by Luca Guadagnio and was written by Simon Rich.

The actors' common appearance on the red carpet also attracted attention because of their relationship outside the screen. They have been described as a couple since the beginning of 2025, but had not previously shared in such an event on the red carpet.

Apart from interest in their personal lives, the film is expected to draw attention to the way it presents one of the most controversial episodes of the technology industry. The combination of real events with the performances of well-known actors makes the project one of the titles that are taking note at film festivals.

For Garfield, the film is another role in a career that includes biographic dramas and large cinematic productions. Meanwhile, Barbaro continues to expand her experience in different roles, following the assessment she received for the performance of singer Joan Baez in “A Complete Unnow”.

Their performance in London combined interest in the new film with public curiosity about the two actors. Currently, attention is focused on the expectation that will receive “Artificial” and the public's response to this project.
